Cinta Baca Foundation

Former Culture and Education Minister Anies Baswedan said that the illiteracy rate in Indonesia has in fact decreased in the past 10 years.
Yet, reading habit is still low because of lack of passion.

He also admitted that poor reading habit is a serious problem in the country.

There are many reasons behind it; books are expensive, limited access to books in many areas, etc.
For those reasons, to open easy access libraries for the society can be a good way to help the government.

About 50,000 villages in Indonesia do not have libraries and only 1% of schools in Indonesia has library.

Cinta Baca Foundation is a non – profit organization with a mission to create intelligent and virtuous Indonesia people by building libraries and non – formal education.

Cinta Baca Foundation has built 140 libraries in West Java, Banten, Lampung, South Sumatra, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, South Sulawesi and Papua.

To make sure all books are up- to - date and by the children’s needs, Cinta Baca Foundation has to revitalize thousands of books in all regionals.

For that reason we would like to ask for your participation in our Book Donation program.

The following are the criteria of books that we need:

1. Children and teenager books
2. Non-religious books and no element of pornography.
3. Educative comics
